Heroes and Villains – A Culture Shock Event

It is just over a month until Culture Shock Events hold their next convention, and it is going to be a big one.   On August 25-26, they are bringing a cavalcade of stars out to Australia, and best of all, it is catering to the Western Sydney fans by holding the event at Penrith Panthers!!   Whether you are a fan of classic films like The Princess Bride, classic TV shows like Get Smart and original Doctor Who, or even if you are an avid comic book reader, there is something in this event for you!!

The following is a list of the confirmed guests thus far;

Garry Chalk – Film, television and voice actor whom has contributed to shows such as Transformers, He-Man, Voltron Force and Stargate SG1.

Steve Blum – Voice actor best known as “Spike” from Cowboy Bebop, and Crash Bandicoot himself.

Cary Elwes – A man who needs little introduction.   Westley from the Princess Bride, and the Man in Tights Robin Hood.   More recently, he has appeared in the Saw franchise, having been part of the huge success of the original film.

Matthew Clark – Comic book artist whose most recent work was on The Amazing Spider-Man, and whom has now signed a two-year deal to work on Ghost Rider.

Greg Rucka – The current writer for Marvel’s Punisher series.

Bernie Kopell – The original Siegfried in Get Smart, as well as being Dr. Adam Bricker in The Love Boat.

Thomas Dekker – John Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Frazer Hines – The guest I am personally most excited to meet, Frazer Hines played companion Jamie to Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor for almost the entire length of the Second Doctor’s tenure.

Rodger Bumpass – Voice actor known for his work on Spongebob Squarepants and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego.

This event should be huge.   Tickets are now available through Ticketek, with Special event ticket super-passes also available through the Culture Shock Events website.   The website already has scheduling information available as well, a mark of how highly organised and efficient the team behind this convention are!!   You can also get regular updates of this and other events at the Culture Shock Events Facebook page.

I look forward to seeing you all there!!
